Brief History of DLMC, CPA

DLMC began in January 2001 from the merger of two well-respected Birmingham firms, McDowell, DiPiazza, Feige & Smith, P. C. and LaRocca & Co., P. C.
McDowell, DiPiazza, Feige & Smith, P. C. was formed in 1992. To complement the traditional accounting, audit and tax services offered, the firm developed specialized expertise in the construction industry including support for Timberline software, and serving the needs of medical and other professional practices. The firm catered to the estate and gift tax planning needs of business owners.
LaRocca & Co. was formed in 1991 and grew to be recognized as a leader in providing audit and consulting services to the nonprofit and entertainment industries. LaRocca & Co. served the tax; audit and consulting needs of family-owned businesses, helping them grow and in some instances, go public. A.V. LaRocca served for three years on the Auditing Standards Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
